Postnatal massage is for newly delivered women, and is suitable up to 6 months after birth. This massage focuses on nourishing and warming the mother, so that she is able to relax and have some important time to replenish her energies after giving birth and breastfeeding.

Tara can also add acupuncture points which assist with lactation, or other postnatal difficulties such as backache or exhaustion. A small number of points in the arms and legs can be added as appropriate, usually while the back is being massaged.
Tara also offers a technique called "mother warming" where the Chinese herb moxa is burnt at a safe distance over the abdomen. This is a traditional Chinese technique which assists with the mothers recovery, and boosts energy levels and speeds up the healing process. It feels a bit like lying in the sunshine.
If you prefer not to have acupuncture or moxa during your massage, acupressure can be used instead, or you can just have a massage.
